Virginia's FAFSA Completion Portal
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is one of the most important steps students can take toward accessing higher education. Those who complete the FAFSA are more likely to enroll in college, stay on track, and graduate with a degree.
The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) is partnering with Federal Student Aid (FSA) to provide student-level FAFSA completion data to high schools through Virginia's FAFSA Completion Portal. This portal helps schools better support families and increase access to financial aid.
To participate, school division superintendents must sign a three-year data-sharing agreement with SCHEV. Authorized users for each division will be selected by your school division and will receive training once approved.
Steps to Access Portal
Enroll Your School Division
Superintendents must sign a three-year data-sharing agreement to enroll.
- If your division already has an active agreement, you can skip this step. View school divisions with a data-sharing agreement here.
- If your division does not have an active agreement, school division superintendents will need to upload a signed copy.
- Superintendents can sign and upload the data use agreement through Box.
- A confirmation email with follow up information will be sent directly to the superintendent and the account coordinator listed in the data use agreement.
